I think it's a good move. The more people join the better. Obvioiusly some of them will not be good members (in terms of seeding) but this way you could get some solid members. The more members, the thread started will last longer. If there are two or three times more members as DcT has now, the ADMINs will not have to make so many rules about uploading because there are some solid uploaders like Spedometer, killer etc and obviously the more leachers will create the more seeders.

About the 4 GB rule which was announced yesterday, I checked the status of members of DcT and found out that around 12,500 members have less than 4 GB upload. This may be probably because (as I read from DcT.King 's announcement thread) new 10,000 members joined recently. If you have slow connection, it will take time. For those new 10,000 member, you have to give some time to build up thier ratios.

I think you are in too rush to bring this 4 GB rules but maybe I am wrong and you(Admins) are right as you can monitor people while I am giving my opinion based on statistics only.
